CROYDON LONDON

Here we are in the first term of a new school year and the M.U.N. club is in full swing. We are busy preparing delegates to take part in our routine Autumn conferences abroad.
This year we have already been to London Croydon at the Royal Russell School and we are getting ready for Paris, organised by the American School of Paris, and Istanbul, organised by Usküdar Academy.
We have also started workshops for the third year students. This year we have involved our senior students in a more dynamic way making them tutor and be responsible for the beginners. We have already run three workshops and the new format is working successfully to the satisfaction of all. In fact we have always claimed that this is an activity by the students for the students and this year we are activating this philosophy to the full.

CROYDON LONDON

The group was accompanied by Ms Oppici and Mr Renata Rossi .We left for London on 15th October and spent two nights in a hotel in London Bridge. We did some frenetic sightseeing on Friday and left for the Royal Russell School in Croydon on Saturday morning. The students enjoyed London and we managed to see all the main sights as well as two museums and some shopping too! On Saturday morning spirits were low as the students were beginning to get butterflies in their stomach at the idea that Saturday afternoon they would already be lobbying, giving their Opening Speeches in General Assembly as well as Policy Statements in committees.
However as soon as we arrived at the school campus and were greeted by the English students, our delegates began to relax. Our group was staying on campus which is a great experience for Italian students and the school is really beautiful. We always get a warm welcome and our students felt at ease and were able to speak and actively participate in the debates. One of our delegates, Alessio Perrone from 5I Lamennais got a mention as Distinguished Delegate. The students worked hard in committees and General Assembly for four days but the satisfaction and fulfilment felt by all was well worth the hard work.
